Blue Velvet Martini
Blue Velvet Martini
I should be drinking a hot toddy, but I am still on my martini kick. I wanted something not too terribly sweet and this is quite tasty.
Vodka
Blue Curacao
Roses Lime Juice
Chill your martini glass and get out your shaker. Put crushed ice into your shaker. Pour 1 1/2 ounces of Vodka and 1/4 ounces of Blue Curacao(if this spills on your counter, clean it up quick...it will stain) into the shaker. Add a splash of Rose's Lime Juice and Shake it on up baby!
It tastes as pretty as it looks.

Pour over crushed ice:
2 1/2 ounces of Vodka
3/4 ounces of Chambord
Splash of sweet and sour
Splash of soda
Shake it up.(okay now I have that damn Cars song going through my head)
Pour into your frosty martini glass.

Manhattan
Well my grandfather passed away this week and in honor of him I decided to post his favorite cocktail. He enjoyed a Crown Royal Manhattan!
Manhattan
Blended Whiskey(Of course he enjoyed his Crown Royal)
Sweet Vermouth
Bitters
Cherries(optional..but it sure keeps the young ones entertained)
Over cracked ice pour 1 1/2 ounces of blend whisky(Crown Royal)and 3/4 ounces of sweet vermouth. Give it a dash of bitters and stir. Make sure to add a couple of cherries.(It is great to give the cherries to your little nephew and watch him make a funny face when he spit them out!)
Salute!

Dirty Martini
Wow, it has been a long work week and I still have one more day to go! It's hard getting back into the swing of things after vacation and holidays. We were suppose to have a work Happy Hour tonight but it was cancelled because of the Arctic Blast Houston is about to receive.
Dirty Martini
Vodka
Dry vermouth
Olives
Olive juice
It's best if you have a chilled martini glass. Douse it with water and put in the freezer for about five minutes to chill it up.
Fill a shaker with crushed ice. "Wash" the ice by pouring in a very small amount of dry vermouth, shake it, and drain (for an even drier martini gargle with the vermouth, spit it out, and blow into the shaker). Pour into the shaker about 2-2 1/2 ounces of vodka and about 1/2 to 3/4 of an ounce of olive juice (This is to taste and I like it DIRTY.) Shake and let set for about 20 seconds then pour into your frosty martini glass.
